ENTERTAINMENT
- How many hours do you spend on Facebook/day?...compare your answer with how many hours have you spend reading the Al-Quran. Which one is greater?
- What can you learn in Gossip Girl that can be useful in life? don't you think you can find these answers inside the Al-Quran already?
- What is inside your Itunes? Music or lectures?which one should be inside your Itunes?
- Did you skip your prayer because you were watching a movie or on a series marathon?
- Did you memorize the Quran like you memorize all those useless, distasteful music lyrics?
- When you're not at home or school/work...are you out and about or are you doing something pleasing to Allah?

Beautifully written! taken from...

:)
Good Morning and Assalamualaikum!
Ten things Allah won't ask.
He'll ask how many people you drove who didn't have transportation.
2...God won't ask the square footage of your house,
He'll ask how many people you welcomed into your home.
3...God won't ask about the clothes you had in your closet,
He'll ask how many you helped to clothe.
4...God won't ask what your highest salary was,
He'll ask if you compromised your character to obtain it.
5...God won't ask what your job title was,
He'll ask if you performed your job to the best of your ability.
6...God won't ask how many friends you had,
He'll ask how many people to whom you were a friend.
7...God won't ask in what neighborhood you lived,
He'll ask how you treated your neighbors.
8...God won't ask about the color of your skin,
He'll ask about the content of your character.
9...God won't ask what degree you have,
He'll ask to what degree you used your abilities to serve Him.
10...God won't ask why it took you so long to seek Salvation,
He'll lovingly take you to your mansion in heaven, and not to the gates of Hell, insha Allah!

What I am currently reading...yes pondering over a different topic now.
So, where are we in those crucial hours before dawn? It’s a question that should be plaguing us all because our ever-Merciful Lord descends during this time. As in the hadith of Abu Hurairah who narrated, that the Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:
We all need change
We acquire all this knowledge about our faith but how many percent are we implementing them?
It's like knowing what the recipe is but not following them at all. lol you get what I'm saying?
Sometimes I find myself doing this, I know what I'm suppose to do but I'm not doing it. heh this is............Horrible. I think I need to cut loose some of the ol' bad habits. Brothers and sisters in faith please pray for me. I need major alteration!!

key to paradise
Syaitaan keeps us entertained with all the money, cars, fashion & music in this world until we die as a disobedient. We are sinners, we sinned everyday..so remember to cleanse your heart everyday, ask for forgiveness everyday as Allah is the most merciful & the most forgiving. Our Prophet Muhammad Sallahu 'alayhi wa salaam (peace be upon him) asks for forgiveness 100 times a day so how many times do you think we should ask for forgiveness?
If someone were to shower 5 times a day, imagine how clean the person is. Imagine how clean is our soul if we pray 5 times a day :') Likewise, for those who does not, Imagine how dirty & dark their soul is. Subahanallah.
So Brothers & sisters, never forget your prayers. don't be so caught up in this world, we are all travellers, there is another life waiting for us....eternal life. This life is just temporary.

No one but you
Assalamualikum brothers & sisters
I'm actually saving this post for another day but since I'm free...might as well share my thoughts with all of you :) Honestly, I'm exhausted but I just have to share this!
I have this habit of listening to Yusuf Estes while getting ready for work........
What I've learned is that all that is required is our effort and the results is not up to us, it's in the hands of Allah Azza Wajjal.
All we have to do is work for it...Mashallah how easy is that? :')
Just a simple example: Studying
We study for our tests and exams, to achieve the best results.
All we need to do is study and make sure we did our very best and inshallah, Allah will reward us for the great effort we have put into studying. Some of us (including myself) think - study hard = good results but no...That is not the case at all. There are times we studied so hard but the results are disappointing and you questioned yourself, what did you do wrong?
- Thinking we have the power to control
- Not doing your best ( studying last minute does not count as doing your best )
- ........it's a blessing in disguise :')
Remember the time you studied wayyy in advanced but the result is not what you expected? Though I did mentioned great efforts will be rewarded just few paragraphs ago? lol REMEMBER the time, after being so disappointed with your results despite all efforts...you never gave up and decided to try harder? And FINALLY it paid off? (If you have given up, clearly you're not trying your best, you're just lazy. lol!) And REMEMBER how satisfying it was? Also REMEMBER the time you were over confident with yourself but ended up dissatisfied?
Bear in mind, Allah knows us best....because he is the one who created every single individuals, he knows us better than we know ourselves. So don't you think the all- knowing knows what he's doing? clearly if he is not giving us what we wanted is not because we do not deserve it...it's because he knows we can do better, we just need a little push :)
Just like a baby learning to walk, they kept falling and tripping but they never stop trying..The baby doesn't give up and decides to crawl for the rest of their lives, right? :P they learn until they could walk and don't you think this applies to us adults too?
So be happy with what Allah have given you..whatever it is - results, wealth, health...everything! be happy and be grateful for what you have say Alhamdulillah (Thanks to be Allah) and don't blame anyone but yourself..don't blame the teacher because she can't teach when there are other teachers who could've taught you or you're just lazy to set a foot at the library. don't blame your friends because you started smoking when obviously you could've said no, don't blame stress/frustration/misery/drama for causing you such a miserable life when you could've prayed to Allah to make it easier for you. Don't blame anyone but yourself because you have brought this upon yourself, your decisions and your efforts- no one but you.
Evil Eye

Assalamualaikum Brothers & sisters! Hi!
yes I've been MIA for awhile :/ anyhoot just a quick update! another E-mail from Spiritual Fix by Navaid Aziz :)
As salam 'alaikum wa rahamatullah,
Is the "Evil Eye" even real? And the answer is YES!
If you recall in the story of Yusuf when the brothers are returning to Egypt after having seen their father the father advises them to enter through different doors and entrances so that they don't get the evil eye, as they were young, strong, and attractive men. Ibn Kathir, one of the famous scholars tafsir, comments on this verse by saying: "Indeed the evil eye is a reality and can make a knight fall off of its horse".
So how do we go about protecting ourselves from the evil eye?
1- Get people into the habit of saying: "Maa shallah". So next time you accomplish something great start your sentence off by saying Maa shallah, and more than likely who ever you're telling will start their sentence the same way.
2- Say your daily adhkhar in the morning and evening (You can look this up in the online version of Hisn Al-Muslim [Fortification of the believer].
3- Before going to bed read last three surahs (the three Quls for us Desis out there) and blow into your hands and rub it over your body. The Prophet (SAW) would do this each night before going to bed. It might be a good time to go freshen your understanding of these surahs, why don't you go read the translation tonight.
Did you benefit from this email? Please forward it to your friends!
May Allah purify and rectify our hearts. Ameen!
Was salam 'alaikum wa rahmatullah
-Navaid Aziz
